The difference between the maintenance CEO and the top one percent

What's the difference between a maintenance CEO and the top one percent? A maintenance CEO puts in time, checking his exit strategy the day he walked in the door.

The top one percent? They are passionate in their pursuit of perfection. However, the maintenance CEO's concern is his exit payday, so his obsession is with quarterly results. Now if you're payday were based on quarterly results and you're looking to exit out with millions, and you measure your life in dollars, can you blame him?

So then, how much is his life worth? And where do you begin and where do you stop?

What does the maintenance CEO look like? He is disarming, charming, warm and friendly. He smiles and tips his hat, "Good morning ladies!" Ah what a gentleman!

But, this chesire cat eviscerates you in your sleep. You awake the next morning to a front page newspaper notifying you--you've been laid off! No warning that an entire division has been sold! After all business is just business. His fiduciary obligation isn't to you, it's to his stockholders and his career!

No Monday Morning quarterback meetings and consensus building isn't a consideration. Good bye, good luck and get a new life!

Thank you for being here. I am thrilled that you take time out of your schedule to come by.
